Our New Home
The Walter Elwood Museum is excited to have finally secured our new site at 100 Church Street in the former Noteworthy Complex and historic Sanford & Sons Carpet Mills. We are working hard to relocate the collections and set up exhibits to open as soon as possible. If you are interested in helping please contact Ann at the Museum at 843-5151 and leave a message as we are busy moving every day we can. In addition, if you cannot help us please consider becoming a Museum member or making a contribution to the Museum Relocation Fund. Send all donations to Walter Elwood Museum at 100 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

The Abraham Lincoln Exhibit
The Abraham Lincoln Exhibit, Self Man in America, was a great success after the Museum brought it to our area for a month from January 9 through February 4, 2010. Click below to see a great slide show of the national traveling exhibit as well as period artifacts from the WEM collection to complement and enhance the exhibit. Over 600 people visited the exhibit while it was in our area!
